DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT FOR URGENT CARE?
No. You never need an appointment to be seen at Doctors on Duty Medical Clinics. Patients are seen on a walk-in basis, however we do accept appointments.
DO I NEED MY INSURANCE ID CARD TO BE SEEN IN URGENT CARE?
For us to be able to verify your insurance coverage we will need to see and copy your insurance card. Without it, we cannot bill your insurance. We can still see you, but you would have to utilize our “pay today” option.
DO YOU DO MEDICATION REFILLS IN URGENT CARE?
In urgent care, requests for refills must be accompanied by an office visit and will be evaluated on an individual basis.
DO YOU PROVIDE X-RAYS AT YOUR FACILITY?
Yes. We have state-of-the-art radiology at our facilities.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE AND WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept most major insurance plans. We also accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED URGENT CARE OR THE ER?
If you feel that your condition is life threatening you need to be seen in a hospital Emergency Room and should call 911. The ER treats life threatening medical conditions, such as chest pains, severe wounds or amputations. Urgent Care Centers treat conditions that need immediate attention, but are not life or limb threatening.

HOW LONG IS THE WAIT TO SEE A DOCTOR IN URGENT CARE?
Patients are seen on a walk-in basis. Our average “in and out” time is between 47 and 49 minutes.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST IF I DON'T HAVE INSURANCE?
Fees vary based on the treatment, but most visits for a self-pay patient are between $150 and $200.
IS URGENT CARE MORE AFFORDABLE THAN THE HOSPITAL ER?
Urgent care clinics are generally one-third to one-fifth the cost of an emergency room visit for a comparable medical problem.

WHAT IS THE COST OF A TYPICAL VISIT IN URGENT CARE?
Typical office visits for new patients cost $187 and up, and $164 and up for established patients. This cost does not include labs, procedures, or injections. The cost for urgent care visits is generally much less than that of emergency department visits for the same type of medical problem.

At Doctors on Duty Medical Clinics, we specialize in the treatment of acute urgent medical conditions and primary care. Our providers treat many types of medical conditions, but typical types of concerns include: coughs, colds, sinus infections, headaches, broken bones, sprained joints, rashes, back pain, ear infections, abdominal pain, and treatment of lacerations. In addition to urgent care, we provide a full complement of primary care services like: annual physicals, well-woman exams, immunizations, blood pressure screenings, diabetes screenings, and a host of other services.
